Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Director of IT Operations will lead the IT operations function inclusive of networking, telecommunications, helpdesk support, systems administration, asset management, etc. This is a hands-on position actively performing these duties with their direct reports, in addition to direct oversight of vendors providing complimentary services. This position will be expected to plan, organize, lead, and complete projects that involve IT operations functions. This position will work with community staff, vendors, and other team members to accomplish this work. The position is expected to bring a proactive approach and incredible customer service skills in serving our team members. 

What You'll Do

• Team Leadership & Service Operations: Supervise, hire, and mentor a 3-person IT Operations team in a hands-on "player-coach" capacity, overseeing internal helpdesk support, enterprise application access (Active Directory, M365), and vendor/partner performance to meet established KPIs and SLAs.

• Hardware & Desktop Management: Maintain, troubleshoot, and support the end-user hardware ecosystem (PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and printers), enforcing automated endpoint OS patching and software deployment routines.

• Server & Cloud Infrastructure: Architect, configure, and maintain enterprise server environments and cloud systems (Microsoft Azure), executing routine server patching, firmware updates, backups, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure high availability.

• Network Administration & Security: Configure, document, and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi infrastructure according to corporate standards, maintaining security posture through regular device firmware updates and threat monitoring.

• Telecommunications & Communications: Direct and optimize corporate telecom systems, including VoIP/cloud phone platforms, mobile fleet management, and ISP service delivery to support seamless office and remote communications.

• IT Asset Management & Compliance: Financially manage the full lifecycle of hardware inventory, software licensing, hardware refresh cycles, and software renewals while maintaining compliance standards.

• Security Governance & Threat Response: Implement and enforce organizational security controls, identity management, and access protocols while actively responding to security alerts in coordination with external partners.

• Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end technology projects from business case to operational handoff, actively driving system automations and integrations to reduce manual overhead and scale cost-effectively. Create and maintain roadmaps for this groups’ project work to align strategies and resources.

• Continuous Innovation: Identify and implement administration automations and application integrations to reduce manual overhead, lower operating costs, and enable scalable business growth.
