This position may also be overseeing direct reports and is expected to drive measurable outcomes that support operational and financial performance.
The Sr. Operations Manager partners closely with operations leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure operational initiatives are successfully implemented, operational standards are maintained, and key performance metrics are achieved. This role serves as a key connector between corporate strategy and field operations, helping to drive efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive operational leader who can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, influence stakeholders across departments, and translate strategic priorities into measurable operational outcomes.

What You'll Do

•    Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional operational initiatives across the organization, including community development projects, capital improvements, technology implementations, and operational process improvements.
•    Manage project lifecycles from initial planning through implementation and post-project evaluation to ensure objectives, timelines, and budget expectations are met.
•    Collaborate with departments including operations, construction, finance, marketing, IT, and asset management to ensure successful project execution and alignment with company priorities.
•    Develop and maintain standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templates to improve consistency, transparency, and accountability across operational initiatives.
•    Monitor project performance, timelines, budgets, and outcomes while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery.
•    Partner with regional and community leadership to implement operational initiatives and ensure adoption of new processes, systems, and operational standards.
•    Own and track key operational performance indicators (KPIs), including utilities, expense control, vendor performance, and community-level metrics, and partner with leadership to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
•    Lead vendor coordination and procurement initiatives, including vendor selection, contract coordination, and performance management to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
•    Lead the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices to strengthen consistency across communities.
•    Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership and field operations to ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and execution of key initiatives.
•    Provide regular status updates and reporting to operations leadership and, on occasion, present operational insights and performance updates to executive leadership.
•    Support change management efforts by assisting with the rollout of new systems, processes, and operational improvements across the organization.
•    Ensure projects and operational initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
•    Execute additional operational initiatives, special projects, and strategic assignments as directed by operations leadership.

What We're Looking For

•    Strong project management and operational leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
•    Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to leadership and operational teams.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
•    Experience implementing operational processes, systems, or large-scale initiatives.
•    Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and operational reporting systems.
•    This position may lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate work across departments.
•    The Operations Manager may also directly supervise 1–2 team members, providing guidance, performance management, and development support.
•    At the Senior Operations Manager level, this role is expected to demonstrate stronger leadership oversight, broader influence across teams, and increased accountability for operational outcomes.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
•    Operations Manager: 4–6 years of experience in project management, operations, real estate operations, or a related field.
•    Senior Operations Manager: 6–10+ years of progressive experience in operations, project management, or property management leadership. The Senior Operations Manager is expected to operate with a higher level of autonomy, lead larger or more complex initiatives, and have greater influence on strategic operational decisions.
•    Experience managing complex operational initiatives or cross-functional projects preferred.
